Information seeking is so huge that Google alone hosts 400,000,000 searches every day! OK, so what’s it to you? It means that you have a massive opportunity to give people exactly what they’re looking for – information. And when done correctly, you can get paid for it, too!
Info marketing explained
This is by far the simplest business you can start. You develop a product that is nothing more than information. And people pay you for the information inside it.. It couldn’t get much simpler.
How do you make it work?
You’ve got the basic concept – exchange info for money. In order to be successful there has to be value in the info you’re selling. So you’ll need to find out what info is valuable. How do you do that?
A super simple trick is to just to check “answer” sites. Just go to Yahoo! answers or ask.com and see what kinds of questions people are asking. Your goal is to find a common problem. Something that most people don’t already know. And solve the problem for them by writing an info product on it.
Power tip
If you’re worried about how to write an ebook. Think about this: An info product is just a bunch of articles strung together. So instead of sitting down to write the whole thing. Just write some articles for your blog. And when you’ve got a few finished, expand and embellish them and voila! You’ve got an ebook.
OK, what’s so hot about digital products? Interestingly enough, we’re back to the name of this article How about 7 reasons why:
1. Ease

You have no physical inventory. There’s nothing to ship. It’s digital.
2. Re-purposing
After you’ve created a few ebooks. You can just combine them into a more expensive product. It’s a simple matter to merge a few ebooks into one. Then you can sell it for a lot more. People will be willing to pay a lot more for one big ebook. Versus multiple smaller ones.
3. Resellers
Since it’s your product, you can offer other people the resale rights. Recently, resell rights have become extremely popular, because most people simply don’t have the time, money and effort it takes to create their own products. And the best part is you get to charge two to three time as much for these rights.
4. Leverage
It’s your content, so you can use it in as many different ways as you want. Break it apart and create a multi-part email series with it. And build your list with it. A list is it’s own reward!
5. More leverage
Don’t stop there . . . break it into several smaller reports. Then use these to generate leads for the main product. You can give them away or even charge a small amount for them. And it still benefits you because it in a lead-in for the main product. Taking this technique to the max, you can let your affiliate give the reports away for you. Wait, did I say “affiliates”?
6. An affiliate army
This is one of the biggest reasons of all. Once you have your own product. Other people can become your affiliates. How would you like to have an army of affiliates selling your products? You’ve got to have your own products to have affiliates.
7. JVs
Last, but definitely not least… Setting up joint ventures is the fastest way to gain success. Period. That makes this is the biggest reason for creating your own info products. Without your own products, you can’t do JVs.
